HCAs needed for specialist home care contract

Do you want to work with regular clients on an on-going basis in an exciting specialist area?

Dedicated and experienced Healthcare Assistants are urgently required to care and support renal failure patients with their automated peritoneal dialysis, enabling them to stay in their own homes to receive their treatment. You will have a regular set of clients and work in small dedicated teams, travelling from each clients home on an on-going basis.

To be successful you must have minimum of NVQ2 in Health and Social Care and UK care experience. Due to the nature and location of the work you must have a clean UK driving license and access to your own vehicle. We have full and part time positions available and regular availability is essential as it is imperative that clients are visited on a daily basis.

We are offering excellent rates of pay with travel expenses and renal training will be available for successful candidates. Interviews will be held locally.

Duties include;

Strip down and set up dialysis machine

Check for signs of infection

Check patients blood pressure and weight and complete record

Carry out PD catheter exit site check and re-dress as appropriate

Review stocks and arrange delivery as appropriate

Contact patients own PD unit if any problems arise
