Healthcare Assistant Renal Dialysis (Romford)

Strand Nurses Bureau are proud to be working with a leading national provider of Renal Dialysis therapies. With the therapies available in home settings we currently have an exciting opportunity for a self motivated and dynamic healthcare Assistant to support an elderly gentleman residing in the Romford area.

Visiting on a daily basis, you will be responsible for safely administering renal dialysis, and engaging with the client ensuring that his general well being is assessed. Our client is a delightful gentleman who enjoys good conversation. You will therefore need to demonstrate strong communication skills, a personable approach and the ability to gain trust and build rapport. Previous experience of working with an elderly service user is preferred.

Visits are of approximately 1 hour duration and therefore we are ideally looking for a Healthcare Assistant who resides within the Romford area (or close proximity). Continuity for this client is essential and therefore your availability will need to be for 7 days a week although the hours can be to suit.

NB if you are seeking additional hours then further work with other clients can be allocated

Full training will be provided for candidates who can offer:-

A long term commitment to this client

12 months previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant

strong record keeping and communication skills

An outgoing personality

Reliability and a commitment to providing person centred care

Due to the location of this client a car driver /owner is required for this position.
